Judging Criteria

Choir Judging Criteria Choirs must have at least four members and represent a church. Community choirs must be sponsored by a church to compete.

Choirs will be judged according to the following criteria:
Variety in Dynamics/Artistic Expression and Stage Presence 30 Points
Appropriate Key/Correct Pitch 25 Points
Crowd Participation 20 Points
Clear Tone/Production/Clear Voice 20 Points
Diction 5 Points
TOTAL 100 Points

 

GospelFest is an event to honor our choirs throughout the Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland communities. First place winner will receive $5,000; second place winner will receive $1,500; and third place winner will receive $500. Each choir must represent a church and have a minimum of four members. Community choirs may compete, but the choir must be sponsored by a church.
